Corrections and questions
If an explanation is wrong, incomplete or out of date, please help us check it.
What to send
- The page link and the explanation you want us to review.
- What you think needs changing, with a link to the original source if available.
- The edition or claim ID, if you are referring to a saved copy. These appear in each record's reference details.
How we handle a report
We check the claim against the cited material and evidence that challenges the claim. We may correct it, add a qualification, leave a record unplaced, or explain why the available evidence does not support the suggested change. There is no guaranteed response deadline.
Material published corrections will appear in Content changes. Private correspondence and the reporter's identity are not part of that public record.
Saved editions
A saved dataset identifies its exact bytes with a SHA-256 digest. Corrections are recorded separately; they do not silently rewrite an older edition. Check the current record when using an older copy. How editions and claim references work.
